    Manami Weapons Empty Manami Weapons

Post by Alexia Mon Feb 06, 2012 11:44 pm

Name: Snake Fangs (2 Identical Weapons)

    Weapon Rank: A

Appearance: The swords are by far simple upon appearance as they are intended to be easy to use and not break. Being just 21.5 inches long in total the blades themselves are only a little over a foot long. With the scabbards being as simple as the short swords it is most obvious that the blades were designed for use not for show. The black ray skin handle is simple and the hilt is almost nonexistent but does have a very simple pattern around it. Each blade is obviously silver and rather shiny while the blade collar is the typical gold color seen on most Katanas. By far the only really unique feature of the sword is the pummel has a small symbol of a cobra on it. Even then the symbol is very simply engraved with not much to it. As for the 9 inch long handle it is quite obvious that the weapons have been used many a times since they are not the pretty black shown in the picture. Instead they are fading and losing some of their cushion for the hand. Upon looking at it its apparent this size of the persons hand due to where the fading is.

    Manami Weapons Shamduandao4

History: Manami found these weapons while training at the Snake Temple. Having been there for many years she was able to practice with them and build up an immunity to the poison slowly. Originally the blades were created by a great snake summoner who wanted to put some of the various deadly venoms from snakes on a blade. At one point the venom concoction had to be constantly applied but over the years, all 20+ of them, the venom actually soaked into the metal making it permanent.

Description: The only real ability of the blades, other then being standard chakra weapons, is that they have a venom on them. Said venom is permanently on the blades and even when the blades are cleaned it is still there. This venom can make a person extremely ill or death can even come upon the victim should they not receive proper anti-venoms right away. Upon being cut by any part of the blade the venom will almost instantly enter the bloodstream. First symptoms happen almost right away and include fatigue, warming sensation on the cut, and no pain on the sliced area. The venom actually takes away the pain of the cut making it hard at time for people to tell if they have been cut. After roughly 5 minutes or so the victim will begin to feel nausea, body aches, and a fever. A little more then 15 minutes after the initial cut the victim will begin to feel very weak along with more extreme versions of the previous stated symptoms. Actual death or stopping of the hear will not happen for almost another hour bring the total time to 1 hour and 15 minutes to get anti-venom. Even though death is only caused in a little over an hour its not hard for the user of the blades to easily finish off the victim since they will become so weak right away.

To represent how long the venom will take ahold of the user in posts please use the reference guid bellow.

Stage 1 Poison: Right after being cut, so the first post of the victim after he/she has been cut. - Fatigue, warming sensation on the cut, and no pain on the sliced area.

Stage 2 Poison: A full post later after being cut, or the second post of the victim after he/she has been cut. - Nausea, body aches, and a fever.

Stage 3 Poison: Two posts after being cut, or the third post of the victim after he/she has been cut. - Feel very weak along with more extreme versions of the previous stated symptoms.

Stage 4 Poison: Ten posts after the cut, or the tenth post of the victim after she/he has been cut. - The venom will set in enough to cause death.

I ask you put down how long between posts each stage of weakness takes to take hold. Also I ask if you can turn the ability on or off to poison others. Do you have to coat the venom on the blade yourself?
