Personality Lara is a confused and complicated girl. She has many layers within her, as well as several emotional triggers. She is basically alone in her world, as she does not stay in contact with the Hyuuga Clan and her parents committed suicide together; they were both only children, so they did not have siblings. Both sets of her grandparents died either of illness or old age. Lara is an only child, to her knowledge. So no, she has no one. This is the cause for her discomfort of being alone.
The girl is caring and kind, she loves water and rain and the sea. Lara is naturally drawn to people, as she grew up almost all on her own, but she stays away and doesn't let anyone close, in fear of hurting them. She has a shy personality most of the time and she is rarely the first one to speak up in a group of people. She is rarely in a group of people to begin with.
When Lara is upset, you can tell right away. When she is angry, her eyes narrow slightly and her smile disappears immediately. She is very hard to make angry, but when she snaps, she’ll go cold and won't care if she hurts anyone. This leads to massive regretfulness after words and she apologizes multiple times. Her sadness is usually started when she is exposed to people talking about their families and how happy they are as a family. She will often smile sadly when people are speaking about loved ones, as she wants to be polite. Her sad smile is usually perceived as happy, though, as she hates letting people see her sad. She doesn’t hate it because it shows weakness. No, she can’t stand bringing other people down with her sadness. Lara believes that is a very rude thing to do.
The girl enjoys singing and listening to rain hit the ground. Her favourite moments in life are when everything is silent, and then the rain starts pouring its heart out onto the world. It makes her feel less alone. Lara also loves the days when the sky is calm and the breeze is warm. She usually loves to sit alone on a high place during these days, to just think.

- ~Birth – Age Five~
When Lara’s parents had found out that they were having a baby, they were overjoyed. They told everyone and everyone was so terribly happy for them. The day Lara was born, she was chosen to have the Nibi sealed inside of her by the Hokage of that time. Her mother, Resa, had protested against it, but the Hokage insisted on it, because of the girl’s spiritual energy levels.
Lara’s father, Takumi, somehow convinced Resa to allow this to happen and the 2 tailed beast was sealed into Lara’s poor infant body. With this new demon inside of her, the girl inherited the ability to see ghosts and raise them to do her bidding. She wouldn’t know this until much later, of course.
A few days after Lara was born, her mother went a tiny bad mad and started ranting on about how her baby was possessed. No one really knew why she snapped, but she did and she ended up resenting her baby, not wanting to go near her. Takumi took care of his daughter for the next three months, until Resa had finally broken out of her tiny state of temporary insanity and she started to treat Lara as her daughter once more.
When Lara hit her ninth month, her mother began having terrifying dreams about her daughter (grown up in the dream) raising the dead and killing all of Konohagakure. She got so afraid of these dreams that she didn’t sleep for several weeks and got very sick. The girl’s father then, again, took care of the family when it had fallen. People outside of the family had started to suspect that her mother had gone insane and that her home was no place for a baby, even if it was a ‘demon baby’.
At Lara’s eleventh month, her mother would sit herself inside a circle of salt that she said would protect her from the ghosts that her daughter attracted. Takumi never see any ghosts, but he went with it anyways, for he was in denial that his love of his life was slowly slipping into madness.
On Lara’s first birthday, Resa and Takumi didn’t do much celebrating, as the Nibi had already grown stronger and her mother’s night terrors only got worse and worse. Her mother was falling apart with yelling, screaming, drinking and violence. Her father had to protect Lara, because her mother had tried to kill her, once. Resa spend a lot of time locked in her room, and there were days were she was normal again and actually held her baby. Those were few.
Fast forwarding a few similar years of neglect for
Lara, we now reach age four. The young girl is seeing ghosts at this point, and talking to them freely. This concerns her father and drives her mother even further off the edge. Lara did not know of her bijuu yet, so she assumed everyone could see ghosts. She was only told otherwise, and quite harshly, by her mother that the ghosts weren’t real.
Finally, at age five, Resa sent her daughter off to the academy to start learning the ways of the ninja. This gave her mother some peace, since she wasn’t any where that Resa could see or hear her. Takumi would pick Lara up from the academy every day. The kids at the academy were childish and mean, like a lot of five-year-olds were. They picked on Lara because she ‘talked with herself’. She just ignored this, as she had no idea what they were talking about. Obviously there were people there, they were just... dead.~ Ages 6-11 (Academy Student to Genin) ~
Lara did well enough in school that she was picked on for many things, whether it was for being a know it all, or talking to nothing, or having an insane mother. Too often she heard: “See that girl? Her mother is mad and she is too.” She would ignore them and walk away, though she often thought about if they were right or not. Lara always hid from her mother while she was at home, since she got kind of violent and really scary while she was in one of her crazy fits.
Each day, Resa got crazier and crazier and Takumi just got so bad that he began drinking. Then Lara hid from both of her parents, as when her father was drunk, he was also violent. The funny thing was, her parents never hit each other. They only hit their ‘demon’ child. And she ran away twice during her life, but they always found her and then they began locking her in her room, with no windows.
Lara somehow got through life with little scars, minus the mental scars, and she tried to stay positive during those days that seemed to never end. Until, one day, they did end. While she was at school, Resa went completely mad and somehow convinced her father to commit suicide with her. When Lara returned home, she found both her parents hanging in her closet. She wept for days, even though her parents had hated her. The girl was all alone in the world at the young age of 9.
She took time off from the academy for a month before returning, and when she did, everyone ignored her. She didn’t mind, and focused on her studies and remained at the top of her class, despite family struggles. Lara aced all of her tests and quickly became a Genin at age 11. Her classmates envied her and actually didn’t all become Genin for another year after that. Lara was not put on a team, due to her early graduation. She, again, didn’t mind all that much, as she hated her classmates.~ Ages 12 – 17 (Genin to Chunnin to Jounin) ~
Lara didn’t usually didn’t work well with others, so when she went on missions, she just kept quiet and followed everyone else. She tended to be shy and didn’t speak much in her Genin years, and for that, plus the insanity that everyone thought she had the previous years, she did not have many friends. Any friends, actually. Lara got over it quickly, as she just talked to the many ghosts that lingered around. She was careful only to speak to them when no one was around, though.
The girl first experienced visiting her caged Bijuu when she was 13, and she didn’t like it one bit. Lara found herself in a dark cave with a chained down creature in front of her. It seemed like a cat, and she’d been right in that assumption. She had freaked out quite a lot and managed to get out before it actually got the chance to speak. Since then, Lara had been there at least eight times. And the Nibi had threatened her 6/8 times that she’d visited. It seemed to be the same sort of threat, though. They might have had added words or were phrased differently, but it was the same message; “Let me out of here, or I’ll overload my chakra into yours and you’ll die.” Usually it was ‘let me out or die’ in short, but the Nibi found creative ways of saying it every time. She would respond by leaving, but it would invade her thoughts at times.
Having the two tailed beast inside of her gave Lara advantages and disadvantages. The advantages were that she was stronger and could use the Nibi’s power to summon all kinds of undead resources. Disadvantages were that a) It was annoying b) People were afraid to get close to her and c) It had cost her any family she had. She didn’t really care at the earlier teen years about family or anything, since she had been on her own for so long, even when her parents were still alive. She was just focused on reaching her goal on becoming ANBU. She figured that was a good goal, since she didn’t want to be a Kage and she wanted to be a high level ninja to prove she wasn’t worthless.
As soon as Lara reached Chunnin without the help of a team, she started to get a little recognition. The girl got Chunnin at age 14. On her second attempt, she’d gotten her Chunnin rank. The left her academy classmates in the dust and excelled quickly, usually training until she passed out. She would push herself to the point of breaking and then push farther. Lara needed to prove herself, but she didn’t know who the hell she was proving herself to. She just knew that she needed this.
The Hyuuga girl didn’t exactly talk to anyone while she was training for her Jounin rank. She trained alone for about 2 years and didn’t have a lot of social contact. A lot of people avoided her, since they thought she was cold and rude for not speaking to anyone, when in truth, Lara just didn’t want to hurt anyone. It was too often that she went into her tailed beast cloak while training and she had to make sure that she didn’t hurt anyone. She was kind at heart, even if everyone believed otherwise.
Lara managed to summon ghosts at last, and as soon as she did, they took her with them into the underworld and made her sign a summoning contract in blood, as normal summoning would go. She left as soon as possible, as the underworld freaked her out to no extent. The idea of death actually terrified her, but she was willing to pay that price if that was what it took to prove her worth. To prove she wasn’t just a monster. Once she was able to summon her ghostly friends, she used them in combat. They had a habit of possessing the opponent and making them harm themselves, until the ghost couldn’t take anymore and jumped out. It was a nice little technique, but the ghosts didn’t like it, as they could feel the pain when in the person’s body. The technique was hardly used unless in emergency.
One of the ghosts, Miku, had become her friend along the way. Miku was 16 years old when she had died, and she had been a ninja of the sand village. The girl had died from poisoning and she was very sensitive about it, so Lara tried not to bring up anything to do with poison. Or death for that matter. Miku had been quite pretty, with brown eyes and waist-long burnt orange hair. She was usually seen in a long white dress with black trim. The girl had a fun personality, as she was independent, friendly, humorous, sensitive, caring and kind. She liked to be sarcastic sometimes, but she usually meant to be funny, not rude. Miku came off as naive at first, but once you get to know her, you find that she is intelligent.
That marks the occasion of Lara’s first real friend. Miku was often summoned every time, since she was both smart in battle and she was strong. Their friendship bloomed, since she was not afraid of accidentally killing Miku, since she was already dead. Miku helped Lara with her Jounin exams and she passed, but barely. So, Lara got her Jounin rank at age 16. Shortly after, Lara applied to be in ANBU and she was accepted because they thought her bijuu would help tremendously. She was allowed to go solo and that's where she remains today.

- Lara closed her bright lavender eyes as the wind blew around her. She felt her hair whip her face, but she didn't move her hand to swat it away. She remained completely focused and tried to enter that place in her mind that she hated; the place where the Nibi was held captive. She breathed deeply, then exhaled slowly.
When the girl opened her eyes, she widened them in slight surprise. She had forgotten what a strangely beautiful place it was. The cave had a thin layer of crystal clear water that covered the entire floor and was about 10 centimetres deep. Above the water sat a fine mist that went to about Lara's waist before fading. There were tiny specks of light floating around for some reason, but it made the scene a lot more.. magical, so Lara didn't question them. Water dripped from the blue-ish black stalactites on the ceiling, generating little ripples on the water.
In front of her sat the giant two tailed beast. It's blue chakra made the entire cave have a blue light and it was so pretty.. She snapped out of her reverie and noted that the demon cat was asleep. That meant she had to wake it. And the Nibi would not be happy.
Lara hesitated at first. She would be getting death threats for sure.. She walked over and gently poked its side and then running as fast as she could away from it. It roared loudly and flared it's black chakra, sending a wave through the cavern. Lara got caught in the wave and was thrown to the ground from its force. She closed her eyes tightly and remained on the floor until it spoke.
"What do you want?"
She quickly got up and stared it in the eyes, "I want to summon ghosts."
It laughed, and the laughter shook the cavern and it echoed for a while after. Some of the stalactites fell and Lara had to sidestep to avoid being hit. She still held eye contact with the beast until it felt that she was serious.
"You will need to go to the Underworld. Can you handle that?"
Lara blinked. "The... Underworld?" She questioned. She didn't like the sound of that at all.
"Yes," It glared at her slightly and then continued. "It is where the spirits of the dead gather to be judged. You may only summon the ghosts of ninjas that have chosen to be summons."
Lara nodded. "How do I get there?"
The beast gave a snort. "I'll summon one and it'll take you there. Now leave."
As soon as the Nibi uttered 'leave', Lara found herself back in the real world. There was a cloak of dark chakra around her and she suddenly saw someone apear in front of her. Someone that was kind of transparent.
The ghost was a young woman with silvery hair and even whiter eyes. She had pale skin and she wore white. She was the perfect mascot for ghosts if you asked Lara.
The woman did not speak, but extended her arm with her palm facing upwards. The Hyuuga paused, thinking it through. Then, as if she was being controlled, she lifted her hand and placed in on the woman's. She smiled sweetly and then death gripped her.
Soon they were in a cold, damp place with no light anywhere. Lara felt sick and she let go of the woman's hand. The sickness overwhelmed her and the odour of the place didn't help. She fell to her knees and silently vowed over and over never to teleport again. Except to get home, of course.
"Come.. You need to get up.. You cannot stay for long..." The woman's voice was like silk and she convinced the Hyuuga to stand and follow her. They walked for quite a bit before entering a bigger room.
In the room stood an old man that gave off a bright white aura that lit the room slightly. The man mirrored the woman, with silver hair, white eyes, pale skin and white robes. He sat in a chair, and in his hands he held a scroll.
"Child... You wish to become a necromancer..?" He asked. The man's voice was rough and cracked and he talked quietly. Lara strained to hear him an caught only the word 'necromancer'.
"Yes and no. I wish to only summon ghosts, not the entire undead." Lara said shakily. She didn't need any zombies running around.
"Ah... Sign.. this scroll.. with your blood." The man seemed almost out of breath, like he was dying. But that was silly. He was a ghost and already dead. The man tried with endless effort to open the scroll, but in the end the woman took it gently from him and laid the scroll on the ground. She unwound it.
"Sign your full name here... And your thumbprint here..." She pointed to where everything was supposed to go and Lara obeyed, biting her thumb and drawing blood out. She signed her name a little messily and then put her thumb on the page.
"Thank you, and have a nice day..." The woman's voice was almost icy and the Hyuuga girl flinched a little.
In a bright flash, Lara was on the ground in her home, where she had been before. She felt the nausea in her stomach again and went to go lie down on the couch. Now she could summon ghosts, but it would take time before she'd be able to summon any really strong ones.
